Yoda Meets Xanadu in the Death Star

So my post-naming creativity is dwindling. Sorry lol. I try. Ok, well once again i used my Galaxy Far, Far Down the Street collection from Victorian Disco Cosmetics, and another Lip Poison from Venomous Cosmetics. I loved this look, but anything is love when it involves red lipgloss. :) I used Yoda's Yoga Mat and Death Star from VDC and Venomous Cosmetics Xanadu Lip Poison. This is like the most perfect shade of red to me. Very Marilyn. Yoda's Yoga Mat was another crazy beautiful color that photographed like meh. IRL it's like green golden fairy dust. Love it. Death Star is a sexy sparkly smokey grey black, everyone needs a color like this. I can't wait for my Brains 4 Beauty collection to come in the mail! I also want all of the World of Warcraft lipglosses and a few colors from that collection as well, and i can't wait for the Totoro mini collection to come out. Such an awesome company with stellar customer service, and great products to look forward to. I see nothing but success for Victorian Disco's future. I'm hooked. Customer for life right here. <3

Oddly Normal

Another look i did using my Victorian Disco Cosmetics Galaxy Far, Far Down the Street Collection. I used The Force, Use It and Youngling. The Force, Use It is described as a very light green with a strong reddish purple sheen, but on me it instantly turned pink lol. I love pink, but i'm sure its hidden properties turned green in some lighting. Lovely color. Wish the green would have showed in the photos though, but it was there in real life. Youngling is a purple with a golden sheen. Love, love me some purple. I used Shiro Cosmetics Jigglypuff as a blush, and Venomous Cosmetics Lip Poison in Fairy. I thought the blush was too much, but i wore it anyway. I like to keep it interesting and try new things and see how they work. Too weird for work? What do you think? I liked it, it was a fun look.

First Look with Victorian Disco Cosmetics

Got my Star Wars Collection from Victorian Disco Cosmetics and WOW. The colors are amazing, more awesome than i ever thought they would be. Sparklelicious and complex, pigmented and pure perfection. I really like that like my beloved Shiro Cosmetics, Victorian Disco's pigments need little help besides eye primer to work well. I know that loose pigments work best with a sticky base or glitter adhesive (which i do not own), but i need products that can stand on their own and perform superbly with simply just primer. I'm always pressed for time cuz late is my middle name, so i don't got time to slap on 3 different products on my eyes before i apply color. I just use a primer, apply and blend, eyeliner and mascara and i'm done. Another company with great products disappointed me because i've found their pigments do better with glitter adhesive and colored bases. As much as that would be worth the work, i just don't have time for that on a daily basis. Victorian Disco on the other hand, was pure awesomeness, and now will definitely be a favorite shop of mine from now on. I actually just recently ordered the Brains 4 Beauty collection, which is named after the Left 4 Dead video game. I've never played it, but i can appreciate the reference and the colors are to die for. No pun intended lol. Anyways, i'm in love with my new colors, time to showcase them. Here i used from the Galaxy Far, Far Down The Street collection, Clones and Ewok Pajama Party. I also used a Venomous Cosmetics Lip Poison, but i'm not sure which one it is..FAIL lol. I can't remember cuz this is from days ago. I should also add that these pictures don't 100% do justice to the sheer GORGEOUSNESS of these pigments. It looked so much better in person. My camera did its best, but seriously...IRL they're magical. Well hope you like it. :)

Modern Cleopatra

Finally got my Shiro Cosmetics Tribute Collection about a week ago, and  i had this look on hand and forgot to post it. I did another look that turned out to be a fail, and due to my crazy schedule, i've been way too tired to do any makeup on my eyes. I also ordered from Venomous Cosmetics and Victorian Disco Cosmetics around the same time. I got my Lip Poisons from Venomous Cosmetics, but i'm still waiting on my Star Wars Collection from Victorian Disco Cosmetics to come in the mail. It seems i ordered at the perfect time, because both companies were going on vacation, one for a week, the other till June for maternity break. Thankfully, all my stuff got shipped before their vacations. For this look i used Rebellion and Baker's Boy from Shiro Cosmetics' Tributes Collection, my new Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Definer, which i LOVE. It's really black and glides like a dream but stays put when i put it on. i don't get raccoon eyes at the end of the day with it, like i did with Revlon's colorstay eyeliner. I also used the new Rimmel Scandalash Mascara. The mascara is meh. i think the brush is too fluffy and soft when it needs to be kinda hard to grab the lashes. I like it cuz it gives a more natural look and doesn't bug my eyes or flake off. Also the tube leaves the brush kinda gunky cuz the opening is too big. Nothing a tissue can't fix. Idk i always try new mascaras, and when i don't like them i pass them to my mom or sister, who usually loves them, so it never goes to waste. I have yet to give up on this mascara, it's not that bad. Anyways, here's the look. It looked way more awesome in person, trust me. I really loved it. A little dramatic for work at Walmart, but no one seemed to notice. I think they're already used to my crazy makeup lol. annnnd....picture time! i know there's alot sorry. but i couldn't choose just a few. i really liked how this came out. :) Also excuse the random duckface idk why i do that with my lips when i take a picture sometimes lol. The last pics are of me trying to look Cleopatraish or like a queen all regal n shit and i just look like a jackass lol. The look was the most true in those pics, so there i am in all my jackassery. Enjoy! lol.

hope you like it! <3 Sarah

Wannabe Copper

Well this look was an epic fail that actually didn't turn out so bad. I used China Glaze's Harvest Moon from the Hunger Games collection of nail polishes on my nails, and used the most coppery-ish eyeshadow i had to match it. Unfortunately, it leaned way too pink for it to match my nails. I was so disappointed. I just kept thinking that if i had my Hunger Games Collection from Shiro Cosmetics, the eyeshadows match so PERFECTLY with the polishes, it's crazy. So i thought, what if i made this color look like i want it to by mixing it? So applied another color on top, and created a bit of my own duochrome. I achieved the look i wanted, or at least, as close as i could get it to what i had wanted. I was happy with it. It's looked copper from some angles, pink from another, and gold from another. Pretty cool. Also keep in mind, my lids are creased a bit and my eyes are horribly tired, and i just used my eyes for these next pics. I wore this to work and didn't have time to take pics beforehand. I wasn't going to post this, but i think it looks awesome and needed to be shared, even if it's a little worn. I worked, came home, took a nap and woke up and then decided i wanted to take pictures and post this lol.

i used my Scaredy Cat Cosmetics pigment in Cirrina, and Shiro Cosmetics Triforce, layered on top. In the crease i used Shiro Cosmetics Everything is Bears, and Revlon's Colorstay Eyeliner and Grow Luscious Mascara in Black. I wore red lips with this, but i didn't have anything on my lips when i took the pics. :p

hope you like it! thanks  <3 Sarah

I'm Back!

hey everyone! sorry i've been away for so long. i've been really tired and always running late, so i haven't been wearing makeup at all lately. i miss it. finally back with a new look for you. i noticed when browsing others' blogs, they don't blah-de-blah as much as i do. so i've decided to nix the descriptions of my looks, and just give you the products used and the pics. going to save me alot of time, and you alot of "omg she writes too much!" also i'm getting the Hunger Games Collection from Shiro Cosmetics soon, i'm just waiting for it in the mail anytime now. it's a 2 week turnaround, and it's been a week, i'm so excited to get it! i'm also planning to try Victorian Disco Cosmetics and get their whole Star Wars Collection too. i gotta wait for my taxes though. :p so expect to be seeing looks featuring those sometime soon. :) anyways, on to the look!

I used Scaredy Cat Cosmetics pigments in Unicorn Breath and Arctic Royale, And Shiro Cosmetics pigment in Mewtwo. My eyeliner is Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner in Rockstar, and my mascara is Revlon's Grow Luscious Mascara in Black. I used the Urban Decay eyeliner also on my lips, looks kinda chola lol. i'm trying to get in the habit of doing my makeup a little higher than the crease because my eyelids are hooded. it's just hard for me, cuz i think putting eyeshadow too close or all the way up to your eyebrows looks drag queeny. i don't have alot of space between my eyes and my eyebrows lol. doing your makeup that high looks awesome on alot of people, but idk if it's for me. i just know it would really be nice to see my makeup not only when i look down. oh well. and here's WAY too many pictures lol.

Hope you like it!

Tangerine Dream

For some reason, i've been DYING to wear my orange eyeshadows. i guess it's because like my green eyeshadows, they rarely get played with. Orange looks really good on my skintone, idk why. I guess cuz i'm light skinned? I usually try to match my eyeshadow with my outfit, or my jewelry. I don't have any orange jewelry and i only have one orange shirt. So i just wore it to work after asking someone's opinion. Orange won lol. So on to the look. Also FYI i have included the new names for some of the renamed colors of Shiro's Pokemon collection or if it is being discontinued. I will try to do this from now on with Shiro's renamed colors on new posts (if i can remember!). If not, refer to this: http://shirocosmetics.wordpress.com/2012/02/22/color-change-list/

After applying my Concrete Minerals Electric Eye Primer, i patted on Shiro Cosmetics' Rapidash in the inner corners of my eyes. Rapidash (being discontinued) is a pale cream-gold tangerine with red glitter. Next, i patted on Shiro Cosmetics' Charmander (Flamethrower) all over the lid, a soft, bright, shimmery orange with yellow undertones and a hint of gold.

In the crease only, i patted/swiped on Scaredy Cat Cosmetics Phoenix Tears, a subtle orange with pink undertones. In the outer corners and blended into the crease, i patted/swiped Shiro Cosmetics' Vulpix (Bicycle Voucher), a shimmering, coppery russet.

I lined my lashlines top and bottom with my Milani Liquif'eye Pencil in Brown. Black eyeliner seemed like it would be too harsh for this look. I blended any harsh lines out and blended the colors together. It seems i forgot to put on my mascara, i totally forgot. Can't believe i left the house with my eyes like that lol. Oh well.

I wore my Scaredy Cat Cosmetics' pigment in Hirundo as a blush. It was gorgeous, but took alot of blending and reapplying to get it right. It was really pigmented and looked clownish. Had i had the right brush for blush application, i'm sure it would have been easier. I just applied it too heavily and toned it down till it got where i liked it. It's a gorgeous color and great as a blush.

On my lips, i used my Milani Lip Flash Pencil in Flash Light. It's an orangey toned red, that's semi-sheer. I love this color. These pencils are awesome. They're not a gloss and not a lipstick, but they're just right. These are just enough of what i love about glosses and lipstick in one convenient pencil. Shiny, but with good coverage and they last a good while. They're a bit drying, but nothing a good lip balm can't fix.

Well, that's the finished look! Please excuse my mascara forgettyness and my horribly blemished face. I'm just breaking out like crazy lately idk why. Maybe stress? Idk. I was blaming it on soda but i've been pretty much soda free for a week or two now and nothing's changed. LAME. I might know what's causing it, but i'm not sure. Bear with me till my skin clears up. :/ Also, my lighting sucked when i took these pics idk why that is either. Maybe cuz i'm always in a rush lol. Well better luck next time. Till i see you again, Stay Beautiful!
